Students who graduate from the program while it is on probation are considered to be graduates of an accredited program. This means that graduates will be eligible to sit for the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) through the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy and meet the educational requirements for professional licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in select states as previously disclosed to Enrollee. Probationary Accreditation status indicates that there are conditions at the program that place the program’s accreditation in jeopardy and provides notice to the program and the public that if the program does not address the identified conditions, accreditation will be withdrawn.: Should the Physical Therapist Associate’s degree program at the Central Pasco campus or the Brooklyn Park Maple Grove campus receive an adverse decision to have its accreditation withdrawn during Enrollee’s enrollment, Rasmussen University maintains the following Probationary Accreditation Status Contingency Plan for enrolled students:r • Students enrolled in the affected programs at the time of an adverse decision on accreditation by CAPTE will be offered the option of completing their current coursework in the affected program, transferring to a different academic program at the University, or withdrawing from the University. • A student enrolled in the final year of coursework at the time of an accreditation withdrawal who chooses to continue in the affected program until graduation will still be considered a graduate of an accredited program provided the student maintains continuous enrollment and meets all graduation requirements within 12 months of the adverse accreditation decision. This means the graduate will be eligible to sit for the NPTE and meet the educational requirements for professional licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in select states as previously disclosed to Enrollee. • A student who chooses to continue in the affected program that is not in their final year of coursework at the time of an accreditation withdrawal or who does not meet all graduation requirements within 12 months of the adverse accreditation decision will graduate from program without accreditation, which means the graduate will not be eligible to sit for the NPTE nor meet the educational requirements for professional licensure. A student who chooses to withdraw from Rasmussen University at the time of an accreditation withdrawal will receive assistance to identify a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist assistant program at another college or university for consideration of transfer. However, Rasmussen University does not guarantee acceptance at any other institution or program and does not guarantee any transfer of credit acceptance. These decisions are always at the discretion of the receiving institution.
