On June 1st, 2022, the program submitted an Application for Candidacy, which is the formal application required in the pre-accreditation stage. Submission of this document does not assure that the program will be granted Candidate for Accreditation status. Achievement of Candidate for Accreditation status is required prior to implementation of the professional phase of the program; therefore, no students may be enrolled in professional courses until Candidate for Accreditation status has been achieved. Further, though achievement of Candidate for Accreditation status signifies satisfactory progress toward accreditation, it does not assure that the program will be granted accreditation. This program meets the educational eligibility requirements to register for the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for Physical Therapist Assistants through the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). Passing the licensure exam is required for state licensure in all jurisdictions. Other eligibility requirements may apply to state and national licenses and certifications; please verify your eligibility against applicable rules, which may change at any time. The Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree is designed to lead to careers as a physical therapist. Determinations regarding professional licensure or certification have been made for other states as displayed below. “Meets” means that the program meets the educational requirements for professional licensure or certification, or that there is no license or certification. “Does Not Meet” means that the program does not meet the educational requirements for professional licensure or certification. “Undetermined” means that Rasmussen was unable to determine, after reasonable efforts, whether the program meets the educational requirements for professional licensure or certification. • Meets*: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, Puerto Rico, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, U.S. Virgin Islands, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY • Does Not Meet: None • Undetermined: American Samoa, Guam, Northern Marianas Islands * In accordance with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) Rules of Practice and Procedure, Rasmussen University will not enroll students into the professional phase of the DPT program until Candidate for Accreditation status has been awarded.
